Pac Pack and Pacula's Curse Help FAQ
When running Windows NT, Windows 2000 or Windows XP, when you putting the Pacula's Curse CD-ROM in your CD-ROM drive it fails to load.
Please do the following steps:
1. Connect to the internet and run "Windows Update" from Internet Explorer (Usually a link or under the "Tools" menu)
2. Install all critical updates and patches.
3. Put the Pacula's Curse CD-ROM in your CD-ROM drive and hold down the right-shift key so that it doesn't autorun.
4. From your Start Menu choose "Run". Now type in the following:
D:\COFNMENU.EXE
Where D is the letter of your CD-ROM drive.
Note: If this works the first time you only have to run steps 3 onward to play the game off the CD. Alternately, you can install the game to your hard drive and run it from your Start Menu.
How do I get the key in the hedge maze?
Getting the key is not necessary to beat the game. However, getting the key is actually pretty easy. First you need to find the humming block (not hard to do, just visit every square). Then think, what can you do to the humming block? What are the only two things Pac-Guy can do to a block anyway?
How do I defeat Pacula?
Pacula is another matter, as he is a difficult opponent to conquer. Chances are, unless you are really good at this game you won't defeat him the first time you try, or maybe even the first ten times you try, however each time you face him you will learn more about his attacks. Each of Pacula's attacks has its strengths and weaknesses, and you must learn when you can shoot at him, and when you have to run away, and when you have to hide. Some of his attacks allow you to cause serious damage to him, but in others you have no choice but to run, and in others still you can't run fast enough so you have to hide in the corner. Just keep trying and keep an eye on your lives and Pacula's health bar so that you know what will work.
How do I use the cheat codes?
The cheat code contains 2 parts, activated by typing "HEAVY" and "BRICK". "HEAVY" can only be activated if you've defeated Pacula and went to at least the first frame of the endgame after doing so (in other words, you didn't quit the second Pacula died). "BRICK" can only be activated if "HEAVY" is already activated (and not deactivated, see below), and if you've defeated Pacula (and went to the first frame of the endgame as above) in the SAME game where you freed Gia. If you free Gia in one game then quit, load a game where you're about to defeat Pacula and defeat him again, this won't work. You need to defeat him in the same game as you freed Gia.
Type the cheat code only once. If you have sound effects turned on and loud enough, a "wooaar" noise will confirm that "HEAVY" was activated and a "wooor" noise that "BRICK" was activated. If you type "BRICK" again then it will disable the "BRICK" codes, if you type "HEAVY" again then it will disable all cheat codes. I suspect this is most people's problem, they type the code over and over again. You need to type it ONCE, it WILL work if you've defeated Pacula/freed Gia.
The "HEAVY" code activates the following cheat keys;
- (Minus Key), = (Equals Key) Change bubble color.
' (Single Quote Key) Give full shots.
The "BRICK" code activates the following cheat keys;
[ (Left Bracket Key) Turn into a vampire.
] (Right Bracket Key) Turn back into a Peatorian.
; (Semicolon Key) Give full lives.
Does any one know a release date for Pacula 2nd edition?
Pacula's Curse 2nd Edition will never be released. You can get all of the games that were made for it on the CD collection R.I.Pea-Guy.
Is there a Pac-Guy 2, part three?
Yes, it's called Pacula's Curse.
Is there a Pac-Guy 2, part four or a Pac-Guy three?
Yes, except he turns into Pea-Guy in it. It's called Pea-Guy: Vengeance or Bust.
I can't get to the power-up on level 7 (or some other level) of Pac-Guy: Resurrection!

I have the "Pac Pack" with 6 games on it (got it at a garage sale today) I know you can just d/l the other games but I would rather buy the cd with all 10, anybody know a place?
The Pac Pack is out of print but there are lots out there (we did sell 75,000 of the 10 games CD after all). I recommend doing a search on Ebay.
There were multiple printings of the Pac Pack CD (approx. 5). However the biggest difference is that the earlier printings only contain 6 games while the later ones contain 10.
I was wondering if Pacula's Curse was able to run off the CD, since it takes up so much space, can you do this if so can you still save the save files to the PC?
Yes, you can play the game off the CD, just select either "Enter Kansylvania" or "Play Pacula's Curse", making sure that "Install to Hard Drive" is turned off. You may load and save normally while playing from the CD.
On Pac-Pack whenever I go into Pagoon I press F8 (because that makes the menu appear) then the menu doesn't appear. Is there a way to make it appear, I need a way to set it for joysticks?
Most of our later games lack a menu, it's been replaced by keyboard commands. "C" is the command for controls. For a complete list of commands press "F1" during the game.
How does that Gia level work? For example, I am on a red tile, but I am blocked off the green and blue tiles and I can walk on the orange tiles. I know this level isn't needed to complete the game but I'd like to see what happens.
Actually you can get on to almost all of the tiles in this maze, you just have to figure out where the invisible walls are (they are very thin). TIP: Do what I did once, take a piece of clear paper, and use a marker to mark the wall when you bump into it, it takes a few tries but eventually you will get the whole maze on the paper and will be able to beat the maze easily.
How can I get the brainless hat in "Pacula's Curse"?
You can't. It isn't actually in the game but we forgot to take it out of the help file.
How is there a better way to kill Bleebos? I keep on getting clobberd by him.
To finish Bleebos level-he knows where you are-try to get him into walls and get him at the place where there is a wall and you can go round it.
In the level 9 - before the garden stage - has a door in the right of the stage. This door don`t open when pick all pellets, open the other door. How do the door that don't open open?
The door on the right side of the screen never opens. After you remove all of the pellets/bubbles the door to Uncle Patches will open. Go through that door and you will talk to him before proceeding to the next level.
